SUPERMOTO COMES TO MEDFORD!!!
SUPERMOTO RACING ACTION COMES TO MEDFORD! Thanks to SupermotoUSA, we had some great racing action.
Preparing for the race, knowing we (Southern Oregon Supermoto Club) were going to be hosting a very popular Supermoto Series with some top name riders had us stressing a bit the few weeks prior but thanks to some key Southern Oregon Supermoto members, MRA members and local volunteers, the event went off without a hitch. Lots of track prep and clean-up as well as gathering up volunteers, sponsors and equipment were handled by a few dedicated local Supermoto Racers and event sponsors. Thanks to the Southern Oregon Karters too, whose amazing asphalt work the season before made for some great traction and smooth lines. The photos within this article come from a dedicated MRA member who didn't complain once (well, as far as I could tell) about standing in harms way, in over 100 degree temps to get the best shots possible...like this one....OUCH! this is going to hurt!

Saturday events included some amazing kid racing action...
as well as some great team races with Cash given out to some of the best teams in their class. Sunday events included the Pro Mains and non-stop race action from all other classes too. There was some great battling going on from the top Pros...
Some AMAZINGLY CRAZY storm came in as soon as the Saturday Main Event ended...
just about everyone's E-Z UPS blew away. In fact, I heard later that evening that there was a funnel cloud spotted near the track. It didnt rain enough to keep the crew from having to water the track the next day, however the storm did cool things off a bit.
