DEMO DAY, a GREAT SUCCESS
Photos and quotes will be added soon...Bike Barn held another demo day and with a little bit of weather luck and some major help, the day was a success. Thanks to the Pfaff Brothers (Alan and Scott) and Son (Nathan Pfaff will be racing an 07 FE450e for the 2007 OMRA Cross Country Series) for all their trail knowledge and help leading groups on some challenging, slick riding areas. The week prior to the Demo Day, Dave and I scouted out a nice little demo loop, did some trail maintenance and came up with an alternative loop for a less challenging ride, while under beautiful sunny skies. Since then, it rained, and rained and rained enough to turn parts of our loop into a slick, greasy challenge. We fed about 40 people and had about 6-10 people trying the Bergs (FE380, FE450, FE550, FE650). Unfortunately we did not receive our Gas Gas 300 demo in time. This day also turned out to be a bit of a "customer appreciation" day, as there were lots of Husabergs about aside from our demos. All the "New-To-Berg" riders seemed to like the Bergs and really didnt have any bad feedback. We did have one rider that rode the FE380 and at first wasnt sure he liked it. After a few more hill climbs and tight stuff he stated that "he could see how he could get to liking the 380s power characterstics, you just have to ride the bike a bit harder". We had a current FE450e owner try our 07 FE550e and said...WOW I should'nt have tried this bike...however, after some more tight, slick trail sections, he remained happy about his 450 decission.
Thanks to Johnny-B (a new Husaberg convert) and frequent visitor of the Pacific Northwest Riders Forum for all his help with feeding the large group of people. Taking time away from his family to help us was really a huge deal, I sense some Husa Goodies coming his way.
A couple of trials bikes were out there too...boy, those helmets are funny looking...

All in All another Successful HUSA DAY...For those people that couldn't make the Sunday Demo ride, we will have another Demo day on a Saturday...hopefully soon (snowed this morning and rain forcasted for at least a week). Finally, the Gas Gas Demo has arrived, so our demo day will include the best off-road 300 two stroke available...the 2007 Gas Gas EC300.
